We are excited to have Mark of Indy Picker Discuss Old Radios, Bakelite, And Vintage Toys!
Great show! Much gratitude to mark, The Indy Picker, who taught us about vintage radios, the lure of Bakelite, and vintage toys! Remember that size does matter with GI Joes! The older ones are 11 1/2 inches, the newer ones are 12! Also, a great tip to test for real Bakelite : Rub a pre moistened Q tip half on the piece. No matter what the color of a bakelite, if it is genuine, it will leave a nicotine colored stain on the Q Tip! And real Bakelite clunks together whereas newer plastics click, a sound variation!
